Refund Policy

Fourteen days to change your mind on your first payment. Cancel any time after that, and keep what you have already paid for.

Effective Date: August 21, 2026

Effective Date: August 21, 2026

This policy covers subscriptions to DomainGuard bought on nhmohio.com. It applies to NHM LLC ("NHM," "we," "us") and to you as the account holder.

1. The short version

  • First payment on a new subscription: 14 days, full refund, no reason needed.
  • Cancel any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not take away something you paid for.
  • Renewals are not automatically refundable, but if a renewal caught you by surprise, ask us. See section 4.
  • You do not have to buy to try it. The Starter plan is free and does not expire, and there is a seven-day Pro trial.

2. Who takes your money

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your payment is made to Paddle, your receipt and invoice come from Paddle, and Paddle calculates and remits any sales tax or VAT due in your location. NHM never receives or stores your full card number.

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Where those terms or the consumer law in your country give you a stronger right than this policy does, the stronger right wins. Nothing here limits statutory rights you have as a consumer, including the statutory right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and the UK.

3. The 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are unhappy with DomainGuard for any reason, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment on a new subscription and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to have used it a certain amount.

The refund goes back to the payment method you used. Paddle typically processes it within a few business days; how quickly it appears on a statement is up to your bank or card issuer, and can take up to ten business days on some cards.

Your account returns to the free Starter plan when the refund is issued. Nothing is deleted. Domains over the Starter limit stop being monitored and become read-only rather than being removed, so your history and reports stay where they are.

4. Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. A renewal charge is not covered by the 14-day guarantee, because by then you have used the service for a full term.

That said, we would rather sort out a surprise than argue about one. If a renewal charged you and you had genuinely stopped using DomainGuard, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will look at it. We are a small Ohio company, not a retention department.

5. Cancelling

Cancel from Settings → Plan in your dashboard, or through the Paddle billing portal we link from the same place.

Cancelling schedules the subscription to end when the period you have already paid for runs out. Until that date nothing changes: you keep the plan, the domain limit, the alerts and the scan cadence you paid for. After that date the account moves to the free Starter plan. You are not charged again.

Cancelling on its own does not produce a refund. If you want your money back rather than the rest of your term, say so and we will treat it as a refund request under section 3 or section 4.

6. Annual subscriptions

Annual plans are covered by the same 14-day guarantee on the first payment. After 14 days we do not refund the unused part of an annual term. You keep full access for the whole year you paid for, and it does not renew if you cancel.

If something has gone badly wrong, ask anyway. Section 8 is not decoration.

7. Things we do not refund

  • Subscriptions bought in the DomainGuard iOS app. Those are processed by Apple, not by us or by Paddle. Apple handles those refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple's own policy. We cannot refund an Apple purchase even if we want to.
  • SEO credits that have already been spent. A map scan, citation audit or competitor report costs us money with the data provider the moment it runs, and the result is delivered. Unspent credits included with a refunded subscription simply go away with it.
  • Accounts closed for abuse. If we terminate an account for scanning domains you do not control, or for anything else in the acceptable use section of the Terms of Service, we do not refund the remaining term.

8. How to ask for a refund

Email or message us and say you want a refund. You do not need a form, a ticket number, or a justification. Include the email address on the account so we can find it.

You can also go straight to Paddle, who handle customer service inquiries and returns for every order, at paddle.net. Either route works. Going through Paddle does not put you at the back of any queue.

9. Chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, contact us or Paddle before you contact your bank. A chargeback locks the funds for weeks and usually suspends the account while it is investigated, which is a worse outcome for you than a refund we can issue the same day.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes apply to purchases made after the new effective date at the top of this page, never retroactively to a payment you have already made.
