TLS-RPT check
TLS-RPT asks other mail servers to report when they could not deliver to you securely, so you hear about problems before mail is lost.
Check this on your own domain now. It is free with a DomainGuard account, reads only public records, and gives you a report you can send to whoever runs your website.
What we look at
We look for a TXT record at _smtp._tls.yourdomain beginning with v=TLSRPTv1.
Why it matters to your business
Without it, encrypted-delivery failures to your mail servers are invisible to you. With it, providers such as Google and Microsoft send a daily summary. It costs nothing and is the safety net that makes MTA-STS safe to turn on.
How to fix it
- Publish a TXT record at _smtp._tls.yourdomain: v=TLSRPTv1; rua=mailto:tls-reports@yourdomain.
