Why it matters to your business
Whoever controls your nameservers controls your website, your email, and every other service on the domain. A change you did not make is one of the clearest signs of a domain hijack, and a nameserver that stops answering takes everything offline at once.
How to fix it
- Confirm the nameservers are the ones your DNS provider (Cloudflare, your registrar, your host) gave you.
- Lock the domain at your registrar and turn on two-factor authentication on that account, so nobody can change them.
